Terms of Use

Last updated: August 15, 2026

These are starter terms for PPE, not a substitute for legal advice. Before public release, add the legal operator name, governing law, support contact, subscription/refund rules, and any limitations required for your business.

1. Purpose of PPE

PPE provides tools that help businesses review payment evidence, compare payment receiver information with registered account-holder names, detect duplicate transaction references, maintain transaction history, manage cashier accounts, and track subscription status.

2. Verification is a support tool

Users remain responsible for confirming payments and making business decisions. Automated extraction or verification may occasionally be incomplete or inaccurate because of image quality, changed receipt formats, network availability, third-party systems, or incorrect information submitted by users.

3. Account responsibilities

Business owners and cashiers are responsible for keeping credentials secure, providing accurate account-holder names, using PPE only for authorized business activity, and promptly reporting suspected misuse or unauthorized access.

4. Acceptable use

Users must not use PPE to submit forged receipts, impersonate another person or business, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with the service, abuse verification features, or use the app in violation of applicable law.

5. Third-party payment services

PPE may process information relating to CBE, Awash Bank, Telebirr, or other payment channels supported by the app. Those services are operated by their respective providers. PPE should not be represented as endorsed by or affiliated with those providers unless such a relationship actually exists.

6. Subscriptions

PPE may require an active subscription for business access. The exact subscription price, term, renewal procedure, cancellation rules, and refund policy should be presented clearly to users and added to these terms before public release.

7. Service changes and availability

Features may be changed, improved, suspended, or discontinued. Availability can also be affected by maintenance, internet connectivity, device capabilities, and third-party payment systems.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, PPE's operator should define appropriate limitations of liability for losses arising from reliance on verification results, service interruptions, unauthorized account use, or third-party services. Obtain local legal review before publishing a binding limitation clause.

9. Termination

Access may be restricted or terminated for misuse, fraudulent activity, security threats, non-payment of required subscriptions, or other material violations of these terms.

10. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as PPE changes. Material updates should be communicated appropriately, and the last-updated date should be revised.

11. Contact and governing law

Before publishing, add the legal operator name, support contact information, and the governing law and dispute-resolution terms applicable to the business.
